A Hidden Woodland In Cornwall.

Autumn Wedding Inspiration | A Styled Bridal Shoot in A Hidden Woodland In Cornwall.

10th October 2018

In early October on a crisp autumn morning, myself  from https://bridalgossip.co.uk/ and Nick Pearce from https://www.nickpearcephoto.co.uk/ met in a hidden part of St Keyne, Cornwall to put together this styled bridal shoot.

Our focus was to enhance the natural beauty which consisted of a hidden woodland area surrounded by overwhelming height and depth for as far as the eye could see. The location was Benoak Woods  in St Keyne– a truly stunning area where natural beauty is plentiful all year round.

We wanted to capture this through a unique bridal gown, flowers, makeup and styling to create some wonderful autumn wedding inspiration. The woods offered an amazing natural woodland backdrop with Native Oak and Alders with Holly, Dogwood, Ferns and Wild Garlic showing off their rich autumn colours accompanied by the sound of peaceful wildlife whispers. I absolutely adore the season of autumn so for a bridal shoot I wanted to take a unique bridal gown and surround it with autumnal gorgeousness!

The concept of the shoot was to create some incredible autumnal images with a creative twist! This bold bridal shoot showcased the talents of all involved. Embracing the rich, warm shades of orange, gold, yellow and browns. Sheltered by overhanging trees which allowed the light to peek through, enhancing the natural beauty of the outdoors. A wonderful reminder of just how beautiful this time of year can be.

The dress was hand dyed to a soft shade of orange with black lace detailed train and bodice. The transparent soft tulle worked beautifully against Tara’s pale skin leaving the fallen autumn leaves to be seen from beneath. With all the warm tones already being shown our model Tara was a perfect choice with her personal love for fairies and nymph spirit and her love for nature.

Stunning colours were artistically applied by Keeleigh at KJR hair and makeup artist http://kjrhairmakeup.co.uk/ to contrast Keeleigh created a magical look with beautiful bold eyes and deep lips. The hairstyle was masterfully created to convey a relaxed but wild feel with crimped, and loose curls.

Jules Hayden from http://www.artofweddings.uk/ supplied the most gorgeous florals. I loved how she brought my vision together and created an autumn firework of warmth and richness to the bouquet and flower crown adding a splash of gold that shimmered off the sun. Her rustic bouquet was creatively gathered together with woodland foliage and homegrown buds.

Further inspiration came from Nick’s colourful collection of orange, green, yellow and black photography smoke which was perfectly arranged to add a dark, deep look to contrast the natural woodland setting.

I was delighted with how it all came together and the group of very talented wedding suppliers were amazing to work with. The day was filled with inspiration and I can’t thank all the team that collaborated enough.
