Terms and Conditions of Sale.

These Terms and Conditions are the basis upon which we agree to supply our goods to you, from here on the ‘Agreement’. 

By entering into this Agreement with Bridal Gossip Boutique you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of sale.

Information And Contact

Bridal Gossip, a company registered in England. Our contact details are 1 Egloshayle Road, Wadebridge PL27 6BX caroline@bridalgossip.co.uk. We will contact you by telephone, social media, or by writing to you at the email address you provided to us in your enquiry or appointment. It is your responsibility to notify us of any new contact details.

Personal Information

We hold your personal details until your order is complete in order for us to contact you. We are registered with GDRP and hold the right to these details legally in order to provide your service. Your details are not given to any third-party supplier. Please read our privacy policy.

Your appointment

Your appointment will be exclusive to you and your guests. You are welcome to bring up to 4 guests with you to you appointment. Unfortunately this does not include children under 12. IF it is not possible for you to leave your children with someone and damage to dresses or the boutique will need to be paid for. Children are your full responsibility

Payment of Order

1) On placing an order, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total value of the goods will be required before your dress can be ordered. This includes bridalwear and accessories. Once you have made this payment you agree to pay the full amount of the gown on delivery.

3) Sample gowns are paid in full and are non refundable once they have left the boutique.

4) No goods may be removed from the premises until full payment of the order has been fulfilled. All gowns remain the property of the boutique until payments made.

5) We do not accept cheques or cash. A 1.5% charge will be applied to credit card payments. No additional charges on debit card payments.

6) Brides should retain their sales contract, and any other receipts as proof of purchase, and be sure to have read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE and fully understand its requirements.

7) All items purchased are non-returnable/refundable.

8) Any dates quoted for delivery are approximate only and the time of delivery is not of the essence. We shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the goods that is caused by an event beyond our control

9) If your order has not been collected and paid for within 14 days of sending notification of arrival, a fee may be invoiced to cover additional costs. If items are still not collected within 2 months of notification, it will be deemed that you have cancelled the contract.

10) Sample gowns are not always available in store due to turnover of stock, therefore please be aware that your chosen wedding gown may not be available to try during every visit. 

11) The costs of any alterations are not included in the price of the dress. Alterations are charged separately and are payable directly to the seamstress. You may carry out your own alterations. However, we cannot be held responsible for any alteration work carried out by a third party.

 Cancellation of Orders

1) Customers who cancel their sales contract are NOT entitled to a refund of ANY monies already paid up to and including the cancellation date.

2) Please be aware that once gowns are ordered minimum cancellation periods from suppliers apply to Bridal Gossip, and under NO circumstances can this be changed.

3) Dress orders will still have to be paid for in FULL, if the wedding is cancelled for whatever reason, costs will still be incurred to the suppliers and to Bridal Gossip - regardless of ANY circumstance. 

4) For reasons of hygiene  ALL accessories (tiaras, hair slides, fascinators) – including shoes,  which have been removed from the premises once paid for cannot be refunded or exchanged.

5) Shoes ordered for sizing must be tried on in-store so they can be exchanged in the condition received and within the time period set by the supplier if another size/style is required.

6) Please be aware that once gowns, veils, and accessories are ordered minimum cancellation periods from suppliers apply to Bridal Gossip, and under NO circumstances can this be changed.

Refunds and Exchange Policy

1) We operate a No Refund & Exchange policy – once you have ordered there is no option to refund or exchange.

2) By paying your deposit you adhere to the Terms and Conditions and therefore will pay the remaining balance on collection.

3) By paying your final invoice you are also acknowledging and accepting these terms and conditions.

Colour Matching

1) Bridal Gossip is unable to guarantee fabric swatch matches with in-store garments due to fabric changes. Swatches should be regarded as an indication only. This applies to all fabrics, laces, beading, and any other trimmings or embellishments.

2) It is your sole responsibility for the final choice of colour and Bridal Gossip cannot be held accountable for this decision.

3) Fabric/colour shades/trims/beading/embroidery may differ slightly from samples on display in-store.

 Sizing

1) Dresses are not made to measure unless otherwise stated. All dresses are ordered to the nearest size, based on the measurements taken (and signed for by you) when the order is placed. We cannot be held responsible for any change in your measurements or sizing. Dresses are made to order not made to measure.

2) Orders for dresses that are not a standard length or measurement may be subject to a surcharge, the amount of which may not be known at the point of order.

3) Where we provide guidance in the choice of design, size, colour and measurements we do so without any liability.

4) We will aim to provide the highest quality goods possible. You must try on and inspect all goods before leaving the store. We will not be held responsible for any defects or damage to goods once the dress has left the store. Any wear and tear or depletion of goods due to use and wear are not our responsibility.

5) It is the wearer’s responsibility to book an appointment for measurements approximately 8 months prior to the wearing date unless otherwise advised. Bridal Gossip will not remind you to book this appointment.

6) Gowns are ordered in standard sizes. Please be aware that gown sizes are different to that of high street sizes.

7) A number of our designers are based overseas, therefore, goods will be ordered in UK sizing but the garment will have the overseas sizing tagged in the inside of the dress which will always read at least one size smaller than the UK size ordered. 

8) Bridal Gossip will not be held responsible for any loss or increase of weight after the dress has been ordered. By paying your 50% deposit you agree to the size of gown ordered at this time.

9) After the sales order contract has been signed and the order placed, Bridal Gossip cannot and will not accept any responsibility in respect of any changes, which may occur in the customer’s size and body shape.

Sample and Sale Gowns (Off the peg).

1) At the time of purchase of an ex-sample gown, we will advise of all known faults with the dress. However, it is your responsibility to inspect any sample gowns before purchase to ensure that you are happy with their condition as they are likely to have been subject to wear and tear.

2) Sample dresses will have been tried on by other prospective customers and may have marks on them. Whilst we will make every endeavor to spot clean any visible marks on the outside of your gown, we cannot guarantee that all marks will be removed, we will not clean the inside and underside of the dress and it is your responsibility to have them cleaned prior to wear if required.

3) Sale gowns are priced competitively due to the wear and tear on them. If you require us to make any repairs, you will be responsible for the costs involved.

 Delivery and Collection

1) The price of garments EXCLUDES all costs in respect of alterations or fitting work however, this service is provided independently.

2) Bridal Gossip does not offer an alteration service but can provide details of a local seamstress who is self-employed and independent of Bridal Gossip and is not responsible for any work carried out by any seamstress.

3) Customers are asked to settle any balance on delivery, you will be notified via email, please ensure that you have saved the given email address.

Liability

1) Should the store breach its obligations under this agreement its liability is limited to any direct loss incurred by the customer arising from such breach.

2) The store will NOT be liable for any breaches caused by circumstances outside Bridal Gossip control including but not restricted to acts of God, war, riot, terrorism, malicious damage, fire, flood, or storm.

3) Advice taken from the alteration specialist is also taken at the customer’s own risk and personal choice, the specialist cannot be held responsible for any decisions made about the alteration of any garment which is deemed unsatisfactory after any alterations are completed if the customer requested them.
