Ivory & Co new collection comes to Cornwall
It wouldn’t be a gorgeous new bridal boutique without a new bridal designer! My vision for Bridal Gossip was always to have a selection of various designers and budgets to have something gorgeous for every bride that visits. Choosing a new designer can take time. It’s important for me to introduce a collection that my brides are looking for along with the flexibility from the designer to alter existing designs to suit my brides. I am delighted to share that Bridal Gossip of Wadebridge will now be showcasing the beautiful collection of wedding dresses from Ivory & Co by Sarah Bussey.

Ivory & Co has been a trusted bridal brand for nearly 3 decades and is known by brides around the world. Inspired by changing demands within the bridal industry and fashion trends Sarah Bussey is passionate about providing pure quality with their silk designer gown collections and luxury award-winning headpieces and bridal jewellery. Sarah Bussey is the creative director at Ivory & Co and personally designs every dress in each collection. With over 2 decades of experience, she knows the aspects which are intrinsic to successful bridal design; creating styles which are as comfortable and timeless and they are beautiful! “Every gown should have true impact and reflect each bride’s personality,” says Sarah.

All of her designs are handcrafted and patterns have been designed using couture techniques to produce stunning silhouettes in luxury silks. Bodices either contain corsetry to provide amazing support for enhanced body shape and confidence or are soft and deconstructed for sheer comfort and contemporary relaxed styling. Sarah’s designs are diverse to reflect the varying needs of today’s brides and can be found in top bridal stockists in the UK and overseas.
Ivory & Co designs are often featured in leading bridal magazines and blogs, and this year Sarah won recognition by being placed 2nd behind Jenny Packham as Best British Bridal Designer in the 2019 British Wedding awards as voted by real brides.

Fabrics are handpicked from around the world; working with mainly European mills to find the most luxurious silks and delicate laces. Ivory & Co source beautiful silks; heavy satin, crisp taffeta, and gorgeous mikado, georgette, crepe and twill and hand dye to create their signature palette of subtle colour tones; porcelain, ivory, blush, cappuccino and platinum. Laces of every description are gathered; classic, contemporary, intricately patterned and delicate.
Here’s the exciting bit! As Ivory & Co make each dress individually for each bridal order it means their pattern team, sewing experts and finishing team are all aware of the individual needs and requests of each bride to ensure any bespoke changes or custom pattern is perfectly carried out.
